On behalf of the students, post doctoral fellows, faculty, and staff of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Immunology Program, we are delighted to welcome you to our Program website. We have a rapidly growing and productive Program dedicated to the translation of cutting edge immunology and cancer research to the development of novel cancer immunotherapies. Our Program is home to 11 faculty with primary appointments and faculty with secondary appointments who actively participate in multidisciplinary research and clinical conferences, and serve as co-investigators on program projects. Working with our faculty are many graduate students from the Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology, and BCMB graduate programs at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. In addition, the Program attracts M.D. and Ph.D. postdoctoral fellows from many National and International Universities and Medical Centers. Our mission is nothing less than international leadership in translational research. We are dedicated to the understanding of basic immunologic principles and using this information to develop new immune based approaches for treating patients with cancer. Ultimately, we hope to develop immune based interventions that additionally can be applied to prevent cancer in high risk individuals.
